It’s my dad’s birthday today. He is really an amazing man – he has been a role model for me my entire life. Even in those times when I rebelled against him (and I did rebel) – I have always respected him. I truly admire his integrity and honesty. He is a man of few words most of the time but when he speaks what he has to say makes people listen, think and laugh. As I have gotten older I have appreciated him more and more – especially his parenting style. He let us make our own choices and mistakes while supporting us in all of our decisions – even when they wouldn’t have been his own. Dad – I hope you have a wonderful birthday – I love you.
