Amazing amazing time – can’t believe it’s been two weeks since our trip. It was such a special time – so cool to be able to spend time with Camille, Liam and Maria. We were able to do so much in such a short time….a bonding experience that none of us will soon forget, I am sure.
I didn’t even know I liked sea glass and now I am obsessed – I am forever trying to figure out how to get to the beach again – any beach. The sand, the surf and the sun were a welcome relief from Washingon wind and rain. But the butterflies were one of the coolest experiences I have ever had. They are migrating right now in the eucalyptus groves at Natural Bridges State Park and I have NEVER seen anything like it – thousands upon thousands of monarchs in their natural habitat. REALLY special.
I am so thankful that we were able to go – and that the others in our family were gracious in “letting us” go!!

heading out on Friday with Camille and Liam and Maria to sunny cali for a few days of fun and relaxation at the beach glass festival in Santa Cruz
a 10th birthday present for camille – it will great to have some time with her (and Liam) away from stresses of everyday life and away from soccer!
can’t wait – will post some pics from camille’s birthday last week and from our trip- i think i’ll have to have these trips with all the kids (just to be fair of course)
